Occasional Invading Insects

Held: August 24, 2012

Duration: 74 minutes of presentation and questions & answers

Join Al St.Cyr for an informal discussion on an important source of pest activity that is often seasonal but has the potential to result in very costly long-term pest issues. This discussion focusses on the control and prevention of seasonal invading insects such as centipedes, cluster flies, Chinese beetles, and more. These pests often lead to secondary infestations that have the potential to infest food items produced in many food plants.

Questions we will address are:

  • Why, how and where do they invade your facility?
  • What does their presence mean to your facility?
  • What are the short-term and long-term controls?
